This year’s World Mental Health Day comes at a time when our daily lives have changed dramatically and we’ve had to face many unexpected challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, we’re also seeing a dramatic rise in mental health problems.

We therefore heartily support the WHO’s call for greater investment in and access to mental health support for all – but we also urge that it must be the right kind of help
