Sara-Jane Reilly
Sara-Jane began her working life as a practising solicitor, before deciding to retrain as a psychotherapist with Human Givens College.
In her private practice, Sara-Jane works with adult clients of all ages across a variety of issues including anxiety, OCD and trauma. She finds her law career experience comes in helpful when assisting clients experiencing difficulties derived from working in corporate and commercial environments, and her legal skills when identifying clients’ core issues within their storytelling and challenging and reframing unhelpful thoughts.
In 2018, Sara-Jane was diagnosed with ADHD (with strong autistic traits) – this served as a watershed moment for her in understanding herself and the difficulties she had experienced throughout her life. She is now passionate about working with neurodivergent clients, who make up over half of her case load. She works with individuals to help them accept and process their diagnosis, understand their own presentation of neurodivergence, build their self-esteem and find ways to meet their emotional needs that work for them. Sara-Jane also now works with couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent.
Sara-Jane also runs women’s circles for women with ADHD, delivers talks on the subject and offers training to law firms and other businesses on how to be neuro-inclusive. She is keen to improve access to help of all kinds for anyone who is neurodivergent.
