HG.Dip.P, BA (Hons)
Jo is an experienced Human Givens therapist. Many hours spent working with children, young people and adults have led her to develop a pleasing panoply of creative ways to help people feel better. Finding herself and her clients in often challenging scrapes has propelled Jo to build bridges of sometimes inventive construction to connect with and support people of all ages.
Jo enjoys passing on some of these techniques in her lively and practical workshops. As well as Creative Ways to Rewind Trauma, she runs a range of training workshops in areas such as emotional resilience, working creatively with children and young people, staff support, positive parenting, and Just What We Need. Come to one of Jo’s workshops and you will leave with your carpet bag fuller than Mary Poppins’!
Jo works as a school counsellor and play therapist in a number of North London schools, including a Pupil Referral Unit. She also runs a busy private psychotherapy practice and offers Human Givens supervision to therapists, senior management teams and other professionals.
Jo has a First Class honours degree in Hispanic Studies (Spanish and Portuguese) from the University of Manchester and a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing. In her previous life she was a Senior International Marketing Manager for a leading educational publisher, as well as working for The Open University.
Jo enjoys travelling with her husband and three teenage daughters (with and without the dog).
