Further Information: Peter has been a therapist since 2000 and has been using the human givens approach since 2004, which he is passionate about. He has worked in several Medical Centres, a University Campus, and currently works part-time for the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, and TheSPACE/HGC in Kendal, working with both members of the public and young people. He also has a private practice in Cheshire.

TheSPACE incorporates a residential school with a therapy and training centre. Children aged 16-19 are educated at the school which is a therapeutic community committed to working and living using the human givens approach. Many of the young people resident there have experienced several placement breakdowns and have additional needs in relation to family breakdown, abuse, sleeping/eating disorders, panic attacks, 'flashbacks', aggressive behaviour, the autistic spectrum or learning difficulties.

All the young people at the school in Fellside want to change, and TheSPACE's commitment is to help them build on existing resources, to develop new and different lives, through healing the past, being secure and safe in the present and moving with them towards a new vision for their future.

Peter has grown-up children who he enjoys seeing regularly. Amongst his lleisure pursuits are country walks, motorbiking, and getting stuck into dusty, rusty and dirty physical work that is all part of being a crew member of the world's last remaining offshore radio ship, 'Caroline', helping to restore the vessel as a working museum to the foundation of pop music radio in the UK. He also occasionally presents programmes for the station live on-air from the ship.

He has a dream of becoming a millionaire to fund the provision of nationwide children's and elderly care homes, operating from the human givens approach.
